3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (parental consent required for younger users)
• One account per person; multiple accounts are prohibited

3.2 Account Types

• Students/Parents: Can browse tutors and submit booking or contact requests
• Tutors: Can create profiles and provide tutoring services
• Administrators: Manage the platform and moderate content

4. Session Booking and Fees

4.1 Session Enquiries and Bookings

• Students/parents may submit booking requests to specific tutors or for particular subjects
• Booking requests are not guaranteed until confirmed by the tutor and/or VCEMentora
• VCEMentora may assist with scheduling but is not a party to the tutoring contract between families and tutors

4.2 Rates and Payment

• Session rates (for example, “from $25/hr”) are indicative only and may vary by tutor, subject, and year level
• Unless otherwise stated, payments for tutoring sessions are arranged directly between families and tutors or via one‑off payment methods communicated by VCEMentora
• VCEMentora does not operate any recurring subscription or “Access Pass” product; you pay only for the sessions you book
• Any payment processing handled by VCEMentora will be communicated clearly, and standard consumer protections apply under Australian law

5. Tutor Responsibilities and Qualifications

5.1 Tutor Requirements

• Tutors must provide accurate educational and professional qualifications
• All tutors undergo background checks and verification processes
• Tutors must maintain professional conduct and appropriate communication
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent is required where applicable

5.2 Tutoring Standards

• Provide high-quality, personalized educational support
• Maintain student privacy and confidentiality
• Follow curriculum guidelines and educational best practices
• Report any safety concerns or inappropriate behavior

6. Student and Parent Responsibilities

6.1 Appropriate Use

• Use the platform for legitimate educational purposes only
• Respect tutors and other users
• Provide accurate information about learning needs and goals
• Maintain appropriate communication standards

6.2 Safety and Supervision

• Parents are responsible for supervising their children's use of the platform
• Report any inappropriate behavior or safety concerns immediately
• Ensure sessions take place in appropriate, safe environments

7. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Sharing inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
• Sharing personal contact information outside the platform
• Attempting to circumvent payment verification or access controls
• Using the platform for commercial purposes beyond tutoring
• Impersonating others or providing false information
• Violating intellectual property rights
• Engaging in any illegal activities

8. Payment Terms

8.1 Session Payments

• Where VCEMentora facilitates payment for tutoring sessions, the applicable rate and total charges will be communicated before you confirm a booking
• Payment must be made using the methods we specify (for example, bank transfer or card payment via a secure provider)
• We may refuse or cancel a booking if payment cannot be verified

8.2 Refunds and Cancellations

• Any refund or credit for cancelled or rescheduled sessions will follow the cancellation policy communicated at the time of booking
• Where payments are made directly between families and tutors, refund and cancellation arrangements are agreed between those parties
• VCEMentora is not responsible for disputes about payments made directly to tutors, but we may assist in good‑faith dispute resolution

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Platform Content

• VCEMentora owns all platform content, design, and functionality
• Users may not copy, modify, or distribute platform content
• Educational materials provided are for personal use only

9.2 User Content

• Users retain ownership of their original content
• Users grant VCEMentora license to use content for platform operation
• Users are responsible for ensuring they have rights to share content
